Description:
Eido-Fe is a form of vitamin B found in foods. Eido-Fe helps the body break down fats, carbohydrates, and other substances.
Eido-Fe has been used in alternative medicine as a likely effective aid in treating or preventing Eido-Fe deficiency. Eido-Fe deficiency can be caused by malnutrition, rapid weight loss, long-term tube feeding, and other medical conditions.
Eido-Fe has also been used to treat seborrhea (skin rash) in babies. However, research has shown that Eido-Fe may not be effective in treating this condition.
Other uses not proven with research have included treating brittle nails or thinning hair, diabetes, nerve pain, and other conditions.
It is not certain whether Eido-Fe is effective in treating any medical condition. Medicinal use of this product has not been approved by the FDA. Eido-Fe should not be used in place of medication prescribed for you by your doctor.
Eido-Fe is often sold as an herbal supplement. There are no regulated manufacturing standards in place for many herbal compounds and some marketed supplements have been found to be contaminated with toxic metals or other drugs. Side Effects:
Signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Common side effects may include upset stomach or diarrhea.
Medicine Interaction:
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Eido FE Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Eido FE Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Alcohol
Aminosalicylic acid
Amiodarone
Antibiotics
Arsenic trioxide
Ascorbic acid
Aspirin
Barbiturates
Carbamazepine
Cetirizine
How to store it:
Store Protect from light and moisture,at a temperature not exceeding 30 C.
Overdose:
Since Eido-Fe is a water-soluble vitamin, an overdose is unlikely to occur.
Precautions:
Before using Eido FE Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Administration of folic acid alone is improper therapy for pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias in which vitamin B12 is deficient
Any allergy
Avoid alcohol consumption, especially if having alcoholic cirrhosis
Breastfeeding
Children
Crohn's disease
Difficulty in breathing
Do not take this drug if you are allergic to it
Folic acid in doses above 0.1 mg daily may obscure the diagnosis of pernicious anemia
Hemoglobin disease
Missed Dose:
In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
